Women of Vision as a model for advocacy
Women of Vision are paving the way forward on how donors can contribute to making a significant and sustainable impact on eliminating poverty and other impediments to child well-being. Not only generously giving their time, treasures and talents, they are changing the game by lending their voices and stewarding their influence. By being passionate advocates, awareness and attention are being raised on critical issues to even the highest levels of government. And, the governments have been responding.
Truly a model for others to follow, they are pioneers in the way they are bringing about change to systemic issues of poverty, while also empowering women and girls to be their own agents of change.
The experience of Women of Vision was presented at the World Vision International, Global Marketing Conference in Kuala Lumpur on April 3rd, 2014 by Corina Villacorta, Executive Advisor on Child Rights, Advocacy and Justice for Children. Click here to view her presentation.
