What moms really want for Mother's Day

Ever wonder what mothers really want for Mother’s Day? According to the study commissioned by international Christian charity World Vision and conducted on-line by Harris Interactive, nearly 2 in 3 U.S. moms (64 percent) say they would prefer to receive a meaningful gift that would help someone else instead of a traditional Mother’s Day gift such as flowers or a card. The survey also found most adults who have a mother or mother figure (58 percent) would like to honor mom with a gift empowering to other mothers.

Our Mother’s Day Honor Card opportunity will close on May 2nd. We invite you to make a donation in a special woman’s name on behalf of mothers around the world who long for a chance to thrive and care for their families. Strong Women, Strong World is a special response by World Vision to offer sustaining resources for women and girls living in the worst places in the world to be a mother.

A heart-warming personalized card will be sent to each woman you wish to honor to let them know how they have enriched your life. It only takes a few moments to offer this act of gratitude that will not only bring joy to their hearts but offer hope to mothers and girls who long to be just like your honored woman. Your gift will last a lifetime.

It’s just two easy steps:

  1. First, go to Strong Women, Strong World to make your donation.
  2. Then, customize your Mother’s Day Honor Card by letting us know who your gift is in honor of and WOV will create a special Honor Card for the special “mothers” in your life. Your honor card will have an honoring message with selected scriptures from Proverbs 31.

(Your contribution of $100 or more will be credited towards the Women of Vision chapter of your choice!) Contact the WOV Helpdesk with any questions at womenofvision@worldvision.org or 1.877.968.4968.
