In India, Trupti, 17, aspires to be a teacher. A World Vision sponsored child, Trupti has just completed her school final exams.

Trupti lives with her parents and four siblings in a small two-room house in a large slum in the city of Pune, in western India. Her father makes a living as a dealer in scrap metal.

“I was sponsored when I was 10 years old,” she says. Trupti fondly recollects receiving greeting cards and letters from her sponsor. As a sponsored child, Trupti also received school supplies and had regular health check-ups.

To Trupti, child sponsorship has meant receiving constant and encouraging support to aspire for a better life and to work toward it. You can make a difference by sponsoring a child today. You will certainly change her story!
