Introduction to Women of Vision's Lent series 2014

“Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
~John 4:14

Water is a prominent theme throughout the Bible, mentioned over 700 times. From Genesis to Revelation, water flows through Scripture with passages which link water to God’s creating, blessing and saving work.

Water brings life. Revelation 22:17

Water brings cleansing. Ephesians 5:26

Water moves on, like social justice. Amos 5:24

Water brings God’s blessings. Job 5:10

This Lenten season, join us as we share stories focused on water. Various guest authors will share their personal reflections. Our prayer is that God cleanses our souls and fills us with His compassion for the poor and brokenhearted of this world.
