Celebrating Giving Tuesday
We’ve just recognized Thanksgiving Thursday, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. These are days on which we give thanks for our blessings and then secure good deals on gifts in anticipation of Christmas. Giving Tuesday is – you guessed it – a national day to give back. Today marks the third annual Giving Tuesday, in which thousands of nonprofits, including World Vision, partner to publicize the day dedicated to giving back. This is a national movement to practice generosity on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It’s the perfect excuse to get out there and make a difference; it’s like our own national holiday!
Women of Vision’s giving page provides a variety of options for those who are seeking to give. Consider hosting a dinner tonight with your friends (include all those people who you couldn’t quite figure out how to share about Women of Vision with!) and serve them dinner in honor of Giving Tuesday. Just be sure to take the floor and offer your attendees that life-changing opportunity you’ve been meaning to talk to them about – perhaps encouraging them to give through the Gift Catalog, or donate toward helping Syrian refugees, or even your Women of Vision chapter project.
Let us know how your giving project goes!
