“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (ESV)

A Call To Prayer
All Women of Vision are invited to pray together. Use the comment feature below to share a praise, a prayer, or a request and we will lift each other in prayer today. You may share a chapter request, a personal story or whatever is on your heart.

We gather in prayer together as sisters of faith. To God be the glory.

Please pray for my foot. I’m training for the Chicago Marathon on Oct. 13 with Team World Vision. I’ve been having problems with it for 3 weeks now. I saw a doctor – its my peroneus longus tendon – then tendon that runs down the outside of the leg, wraps around the ankle and ends at at the arch. I have to take it one day at a time – which is really hard for me to do because the marathon is less than a month away. While my fellow teammates are running the tough 20 miles, I am only able to run 3. I feel so frustrated at times because I’m so far behind in my training and my foot isn’t getting better. Just when I think its better and there’s not pain, I run and the next day I’m limping. I’ve worked so hard, had to overcome so much to get here. At this point, I feel like giving up and throwing in the towel. But I know I would be disappointed with myself if I did quit. Pray for motivation for me to do the exercises that I need to do. Pray that I wouldn’t get frustrated. Pray that I would be hopeful and think positive. Pray that I would remember to take care of myself and find time to do so. Life is so busy that I forget to stretch and ice my foot like I should. Thank you for praying.

Prayers for our respective leadership teams. For Godly wisdom, knowledge, understanding & discernment. As leaders step back for various reasons, may new leaders be raised up. Prayers for each of us and our families — for our health and that we stand firm in the face of obstacles. May we each pursue God’s work despite the storms we might face personally — because our combined efforts are saving lives and demonstrating God’s love!! For Your glory Lord, Amen.

I am asking for prayer. For my financial situation, it is looking very dire. I am not worried because I know Jesus will provide everything and I know that I cannot worry any longer, about how I will pay to live. I put it in God’s hands and I am asking for prayer. I’ll pray for you! xo
